To Keep Silent is an experimental project based in Cairo Egypt, with Abelrahman M. Abdelhamid on guitar, and Amanda El-Ghaffari on bass, their purpose is to express their perception of reality through sound. Their first release was a demo single titled “disco inferno” (we learn through suffering), then went on to release their first album “Black Art”, a dark ambient album that tells a story about inner struggles and reaching order through chaos, the album’s artwork is originally a painting by Amanda. Their second album “A memory” is more on the experimental side than dark ambient, with a Salvador Dali painting as artwork, the members’ purpose of this album is to document some of their most prominent memories, or the effect those memories hold on their lives.. Their latest release is a single “Lost in Frequencies (cairo)” which is a promotion for “Industrial Trash”, an experimental industrial/ambient album they are currently working on, it will be in a whole different mood and theme.
“Walt Thisney selects and mixes music for the mind and body in the same quantities that emerges from encounters between the past and the present, drawing beauty of the commonplace, wiping, polishing it, giving it life again, so to produce the same effect of the original freshness and spontaneity, a mirror that transforms it absorbs and reflects.”
